URGENT Actors Wanted for Short Film

We are looking for three actors who would take on the role of a family in a student short film.

False Folk: Reprogramming the Nation is a surrealist essay film exploring how tradition is staged, repeated and fractured. Through static, meticulously composed tableaux, a dancer moves from wardrobe to rehearsal, from a staged family portrait to empty theaters and supermarket aisles. Folk costumes, national symbols, and rituals appear at once familiar and strange.Stripped of intimacy, reproduced until they feel hollow. Absurd details intrude: mannequins applauding, children in balaclavas, rows of identical dolls in shopping carts. Each image questions the weight of “authenticity” and exposes the quiet exclusions hidden beneath collective unity. Mixing silence with fragments of poetic voiceover, the film reimagines folklore not as timeless essence but as performance that can be resisted, reinterpreted, and abandoned.
