The Promised Land is a film about the death of the old self.
It's about a couple who moves to the countryside to find some peace
find, but the country, the culture and the inhabitants refuse them until they
make a certain sacrifice.
The film starts as a fairy tale and slowly turns into a
nightmare. Not by monsters, but by the tension between two
inner worlds (old and new).
