rtificial Soul is an independent psychological sci-fi feature film exploring control, surveillance and the fragile boundary between human emotion and artificial intelligence. The story follows an AI engineer whose attempt to hold on to love through technology slowly turns into obsession, raising ethical questions about privacy, manipulation and emotional dependency in a digital world.

The film is character-driven and intimate in tone, with a strong focus on performance, internal conflict and subtle emotional shifts. Visually and thematically, the project is inspired by films such as Ex Machina and series like Black Mirror, while maintaining a grounded, human perspective.

Artificial Soul is produced in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, by Stichting Anker / Ankerfilm. Rehearsals are currently ongoing, with principal photography scheduled from mid January to end of March, mainly during weekends. The working language on set is English.

We are looking for committed, curious and collaborative people who enjoy working in a small independent film team. This project suits those who value character-driven storytelling, clear communication and a respectful working atmosphere. We appreciate initiative, reliability and a calm, supportive presence on set, especially during rehearsals and performance-focused scenes.

Artificial Soul is made with limited resources but strong dedication. We are building the film together, with care for both the creative process and the people involved.

Functie eisen / profiel
We are looking for an Acting Coach who can support the actors both during rehearsals and on set. The coach should feel comfortable working closely with performers in an intimate, character-driven film and be able to adapt to the pace and flexibility of a low-budget independent production.

Education or experience in acting, performance, directing or acting coaching is required, either through formal training or relevant practical experience. A strong understanding of character development, emotional continuity and scene preparation is important, as well as the ability to give clear, respectful and actor-focused guidance.

Availability during rehearsals and on selected shooting days is essential. The coach should be able to work calmly under time pressure, support actors between takes when needed, and collaborate closely with the director and production team.

A good command of English is required, as English is the working language on set. Dutch is welcome. Turkish is considered a strong plus.
