Looking for 1st AD

AFK, i.e. away from keyboard, is a trilingual (English, Dutch & Hungarian) short film that’s a fun and light-hearted exploration of "everyday problems" such as burnout, starting over, self-discovery and adult friendships/relationships.
We don’t want to give too much away, but here’s a taste of what’s to come: in an attempt to move on with his life, a burned out and recently single gamer finds himself way out of his comfort zone thanks to his well-intentioned but slightly overbearing friend.
We’re a diverse and international Netherlands-based team of aspiring filmmakers and performing artists passionate about storytelling.

Omschrijving
We are looking for a 1st Assistant Director who will help us keep track of timing and organize the shoot days. This will be a scrappy project full of improvisation, meaning it is essential that we have someone on set specifically working towards doing everything in a timely manner.

Periode
Our shooting schedule is dispersed through February and March, only on Sundays. The shooting days at the moment are February 8, February 22, March 1 and March 8. The shooting days could potentially change, but will always be on Sundays.

Functie eisen / profiel
- Organizational skills and some awareness of how to manage things on set
- Be able to travel to/within Noord-Brabant (specific locations TBD)

We offer the opportunity to collaborate with a group of aspiring filmmakers and performers on a story that can resonate with a wide range of people. It is our intention to submit the final film to festivals, meaning this film could be a lovely addition to your professional portfolio. Unfortunately, we do not offer compensation as we are working with a micro budget, but we will offer food and drinks on the shoot!
