Little Holland is an absurdist crime feature defined by absurd situations, colorful characters, dark comedy, and unconventional dialogue. Style and tone wise, the film is comparable to Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino. But other significant inspirations include the directors Sergio Leone, Wong Kar-Wai and Jean-Luc Godard. Little Holland follows three interconnected storylines that collide over the course of the narrative.

One of these storylines centers on Lola; a young, deeply unstable woman who, after the death of her boyfriend Max, spirals into escalating violence. Her grief and trauma manifest as chaos, leaving a trail of destruction and murder behind.

We are seeking an actress to play Lola.

Lola can appear cool, controlled, even charming. But this composure is fragile. Perceived insults or provocations can trigger sudden, explosive violence, and that line is crossed often. The film opens with Lola killing her best friend over a slight she believes is intentional.

She is impulsive, unpredictable, condescending, volatile, and dangerous. Lola takes pleasure in humiliating or killing those she considers enemies. Her emotional state can shift instantly from playful to terrifying. Beneath all of this, however, is a woman deeply scarred by a traumatic past and consumed by unresolved grief.

We are looking for an actress who can sustain a constant sense of tension and unpredictability. Someone who keeps both the other characters and the audience on edge whenever she is on screen. Lola is the film’s most iconic role, and we need a performer willing to fully commit to and embody this twisted, volatile character.

The actress must be fluent in English. And preferably speak (or be willing to learn) a little Spanish as well.
