Synopsis:
Esmaeil (70) has lived in Amsterdam for years, yet his thoughts remain in Iran. His days are quiet, filled with rituals, Iranian news, and memories of a past he struggles to let go of. When his grandson Kyan (10) comes to visit, clashes arise. For Esmaeil, the inside feels safe, while the outside world feels threatening. Kyan meets only resistance, he is determined to pull his grandfather out of his bubble and show him that there’s a whole world waiting beyond the walls. Step by step, Kyan tries to build a bridge between generations and cultures. Will Esmaeil be able to let go of his past and live in the present?
