I'm remaking a scene that didn't age well from a hit TV sitcom, I'm trying to prove that by keeping the same dialogue but removing the laugh tracks the tone really changes and its more unsettling & concerning than funny.
the whole idea started from a specific line where the character admits human trafficking and there's laugh tracks and is supposed to be a funny scene.
I want to prove my point strictly without changing the lines , but instead changing elements like soundtrack and acting delivery.
It could potentially start as a normal sitcom but after every "concerning" line the laugh track gets a bit distorted, muffled, the colour scheme gradually shifts to cold tones and doesn't feel like a sitcom at all anymore.
So this is psychological drama short film 5 min duration.
