Male actor wanted for lead role in Short Film

Student directed short film about loss, addiction and psychosis.

Synopsis:

After losing his romantic partner, Max is confronted by feelings of grief, guilt and loneliness. This leads him to fall back into old habits and succumb to a drug addiction, which combined with psychological trauma and lack of sleep, make him enter a psychotic state where real and not-real become hard to tell apart.

The film starts in a creation of his mind, a dream where he and Beth are happily enjoying each other's company at a park, as if nothing happened. As the dream goes on, Max starts questioning the veracity of what is happening, prompting him to backtrack and remember the past events that led him to his current state of psychosis, helping him to get back to the real world.

The film shows how his drug addiction and psychological state developed over time, in a backwards timeline that forces the viewer to piece everything together.

Young male actor (20's-30s) to play the protagonist in our short film: A grieving young man who has spiraled into drug addiction (opioid) after the loss his romantic partner. His psychological state deteriorates to the point where he enters a state of psychosis.

Main emotions portrayed: Grief; Sadness; Loneliness; Confusion; Guilt.

Periode
We aim to shoot in mid May. Specific dates will be decided in the future, also according to the actors availability.
