Acting Coach for Improvisation Training Wanted

Acteerschool Rovado is looking for an experienced acting coach to lead improvisation training sessions.

Improvisation forms a powerful foundation for actors. It develops listening, reacting in the moment, following impulses and expanding freedom in performance. In these trainings, improvisation will be explored in its many forms. This can range from subtle and psychological work to more physical or expressive approaches, and from lighter scenes to dramatic material.

The trainings will in any case be offered in English, as there is a large international acting community in the region. In addition, we are exploring the possibility of offering a Dutch-language version as well, depending on interest.

The trainings will take place at a location in Den Haag NOI.
Groups will consist of a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 participants.

Omschrijving
We are looking for an inspiring acting coach with experience in improvisation.

Someone who helps actors become more present, responsive and free in their work. Improvisation can take many directions, including dramatic, realistic, physical or more experimental forms.

Acting coaches are welcome to apply if they:

• speak both English and Dutch
• teach in English only
• teach in Dutch only

We are open to different possibilities and are primarily looking for a strong artistic and personal match.

Training days and times will be scheduled together once a suitable collaboration has been established.

Functie eisen / profiel
• Proven experience in teaching or coaching acting and improvisation
• Background as a trained actor, for example through an acting school, conservatory, or through extensive training such as courses, workshops and masterclasses
• Experience guiding actors in improvisation exercises and scene work
• Ability to create a safe, focused and inspiring working environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to give clear and constructive feedback
• Passion for helping actors develop presence, spontaneity and authenticity in their work
