Hi! My name is Vladimir and I am a dancer and filmmaker from Breda. This year I get to graduate from the St. Joost School of Art & Design as a director with the short fiction film BBOY.
Sixteen-year-old Eli, a 'B-boy' (breakdance boy), has run away from his strict mother to pursue his dance ambitions. But the problems he left behind are slowly catching up with him in his nightly dreams.

OmschrijvingWe are looking for an actor for the homeless 'Joop', who supports Eli, as it were, in his search. Joop was once a dancer but is now an alcoholic. He babbles about the meaning of dreams to people he meets, but no one listens. Joop has a cheerful, funny, and chaotic personality. Secretly, Joop is a very wise man, who becomes Eli's mentor, so to speak.
Age doesn't matter for this role; think between 27 and 70 years old. You will be doing a bit of dancing in the final scene together with Eli. An affinity for hip-hop dance is a plus (regardless of the style within hip-hop), but not a must. Other forms are also welcome.
Facial hair is also a plus.

Omdat we een dansfilm maken zal ook in de scenes met Joop gedanst worden door het hoofdpersonage (en Joop zelf), wat een unieke inkijk kan geven in de combinatie van beide mediums. Daarbij hebben we een kleine vergoeding beschikbaar.
