The young punk singer Yente struggles with herself while performing in a noisy music venue. Beneath the layer of a strong exterior lies deep insecurity and pain, visible in the scars on her arm and the harsh words others speak about her. At the same time, we follow Henry, a painter struggling with his work and his memories of a deceased friend, and Rutger, an older man preparing for a funeral while reflecting on a special bond with the same person.
Slowly, it becomes clear that these three people, who at first glance have nothing to do with each other, are all connected by David, a warm and creative man who played an important role in their lives. When they finally meet at his funeral, they share a moment of silent mourning and connection. In their shared loss, they find an unexpected form of comfort: the realization that, despite their loneliness, they are not alone in their experiences.
