Art director wanted! Psychologische thriller shortfilm

Still Mind follows Riva, a young graphic designer navigating her morning and preparing for a job interview. The film explores her inner thoughts, anxieties, and “imposter syndrome”, blending reality with imagined scenarios of the job interview. It’s a visually-driven, expressionistic film with strong emphasis on camera, lighting, and sound to reflect her mental state.

Synopsis
In Still Mind (working title), we follow the chaotic thought world of a young, recently graduated graphic designer preparing for a job interview. As she goes through her morning routine, various possible versions of the interview play out in her head. In rapid, sometimes surreal visualizations, she sees both the best and the worst outcomes before her: from perfect answers and moments of success to the most extreme rejections.
These scenarios reveal her insecurities, fears, and expectations, and take up increasingly more space within her thoughts. Interspersed between these visualizations, we see moments from her real morning, in which she prepares to leave the house.
In the climax of the building stress in her hectic thoughts, she receives a call from the design studio company. During this phone call, it becomes clear that she has already had the job interview for which she prepared so intensely, and that she got the job. What we have followed turns out not to be preparation for a single interview, but a glimpse into a mind that constantly tries to control possible outcomes.

I’m looking for an Art Director who wants to help bring this story to life through creative set design, props, cloting and the overall look of the film.
The film gives a lot of room to be visually playful and creative, so I think it could be a really fun assignment for someone who enjoys building atmosphere and style.

Periode
We will shoot for 3 days. Most likely between 12 and 20 may.
