Actress Needed for a science fiction video opera

**For an experimental science-fiction video opera, we are looking for an actress!**

Title: SOLARIS - a video-opera (free adaptation of the film Solaris by Tarkovsky)

The Project:

Solaris is a 58-minute experimental science fiction video opera with an original score in collaboration with a composer. Although the project is conceived as a film for cinema, Solaris is above all designed to be experienced as a live concert performance. Produced by the French opera company Miroirs Étendus, the project will be presented as a cine-concert, featuring an ensemble of eleven musicians, electronics, and a solo vocal performer.

Scheduled performances (confirmed until now): 26 April Condition Publique Roubaix, fr, 6 May Opéra de Nantes, fr, 20 May Espace Malraux, scène nationale de Chambéry, 26 May MC2, scène nationale de Grebit part, fr.

Context:

Solaris was written by Stanisław Lem in 1961 and later adapted into a film by the renowned director Andrei Tarkovsky in 1972. Tarkovsky preserved the original narrative as a philosophical tale, questioning humanity’s relationship to progress, the universe's infinity, and our connection to our own planet.

In the new adaptation, a young scientist is sent back to Solaris—a living planet of forgotten mysteries—where they encounter the reincarnation of a past love
and must choose between personal truth and the preservation of a world.

We are looking for an actress to embody the main character's memory. The role would not require any spoken lines or text to learn. We are looking for the actress's presence in a few simple and evocative scenes, such as walking through the long corridor of a large vessel, placing her hands in a small creek, and walking on a beach. We expect to shoot these scenes in one day, in Rotterdam or nearby.

We are looking for a 32-42-year-old woman with straight long hair and a strong presence. Young, but old at the same time. Embody a life experience.

Periode
The shooting will be 1 day. Our schedule is a little tight, and we are hoping to film between (13 and 22 April)
