Casting - The Truth and Nothing But

Are you an actor between 20–35 interested in joining a PAID (pending funding approval), English-language hyper-realist short film that brings stylised dialogue to life?

We are currently casting and assembling our team in preparation for a funding application to the Nederlands Filmfonds Shorts.

We are looking for actors who are passionate about stylised rhythm-focused dialogue, inspired by scriptwriters such as Quentin Tarantino, Aaron Sorkin, David Mamet, Martin McDonagh, Guy Ritchie, and Wes Anderson. 

Casting Process:
• First round: Online (Zoom) — weeks of May 11th and May 18th
• Second round: In person — at production house www.Deep.Amsterdam, Centrale Groothandelsmarkt 186 | 1051 L J, Amsterdam, on June 2nd, 2026.

Wat bieden wij?
If we manage to secure this fund and therefore bring the project to life, we plan to pay the actors a fee for their time. The exact payment model is still to be determined during the budgeting process and will also depend on whether we are able to secure additional funding from smaller funds, and if so, how much of that budget can be allocated to our team’s fees.

That being said, if we do manage to be awarded funding from the Nederlands Filmfonds Shorts, we would like to pay a minimum of €550 per day for the leads and €300 per day for the supporting actors. The exact number of shooting days is still to be determined (but will likely consist of 2–4 days), and we would also aim to budget for rehearsal day(s). The exact payment for rehearsal day(s) will also be decided during the budgeting process.
