For the independent feature film "Artificial Soul", we are looking for an experienced editor who can take over the existing rough cut and further develop it into a strong, professional final cut.

The film has already been fully edited in a first rough version. The main task is therefore not to start from scratch, but to refine the current editing: to elevate rhythm, tension, emotional build-up, scene transitions, dramaturgy, and the overall flow of the film to a higher level.


The project is a serious, independent feature film with festival and international screening ambitions. Collaboration, creative thinking, and a feel for narrative cinema are therefore important.

Omschrijving
We are looking for an experienced film editor / montage editor who can take an existing rough cut and develop it into a strong, professional final cut.

The editor must be proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and preferably also have basic knowledge of After Effects for simple VFX, clean-ups, or visual adjustments.

It is important that we are not only looking for someone who handles technical editing, but above all someone who can contribute ideas regarding storytelling, rhythm, tension, emotion, and dramaturgy. Someone who understands how scenes can breathe better, where tension needs to be built, and how the emotional trajectory of the characters can be strengthened.

Important:

Experience with feature films or narrative film projects
Strong knowledge of Premiere Pro
After Effects is a plus
Sense of story, rhythm, and emotional build-up
Ability to think creatively about the assembly
Ability to work independently with an existing rough cut
Open to collaboration within an independent film project
