MIXED BLOOD! This project tells the story of a 14/15-year-old "half-blood" Moluccan-Dutch girl growing up between two cultures. Within her family, she lives in the Moluccan world, while at school and in Dutch society she experiences a different reality. This creates a growing sense of being caught in between and questions of identity. With this short film, I want to tell my personal story, which simultaneously touches upon a broader societal theme: the visibility of mixed identities. Are people with a mixed background a forgotten group in our society? The project invites conversation and recognition.
