EDITOR for an emotional short film

Letting Go is an 8-minute short film about David, a man who uses a Memory Device to relive moments with his late partner Nick. I’m cutting the first version myself, putting the clips together and laying in the transitions, and I’m looking for an editor to refine it on top of that: sharpening the pacing and polishing the transitions before the film goes to colour.

Period: Roughly three weeks from July 1. One kickoff session at the start, then one feedback round before we lock and hand over to the colour grader.

Job requirements / profile

• DaVinci Resolve
• Comfortable refining my first cut, not building from scratch
• Strong feel for pacing, and for match cuts and transitions across different POVs and timelines
• Narrative experience and an eye for emotional timing
• Can hand off a clean, conform-ready Resolve project for colour
• Remote is fine
