synopsis Bergen op Zoom. A city in the Netherlands near the Belgian border. Here for generations the Van Dort family has fished for anchovy with traditional methods, dating from 1612. Only in the months May, June and July they can catch the fish, which secures their existence year after year. But this years catch is worse than ever before. Will the family survive this bad year?
