synopsis A farmer is searching for the correct formula to make medicinal mud. It could turn into a gold mine for him and his wife. Business is bad lately, and his marriage is not going well at all. His wife wants to rent a room at the farm, but he is stubbornly opposed to that.
When he finally finds the right formula, something extraordinary happens to the chicken he tries it on: it turns into a newly hatched chick. He then tries it on his wife...
Note: 'modderfiguur' is a dutch word used in the expression 'een modderfiguur slaan' meaning 'to make a fool of oneself' (lit: to hit a mud figure)
