'A, B, C...', In this documentary Nafiss Nia goes back to the place where she, seventeen years ago as an asylum seeker, received Dutch lessons from three retired ladies in the back room of a church in Amersfoort. She and other refugees learned there not only the Dutch language, but also about Dutch history, culture and costumes. In that time integration happened naturally without the pressure of politics.
Inexhaustible ladies, pleasant ambience and her eagerness to learn were the keys.
In this film she reminisces about a time when the first seeds of a still growing love for the Dutch language were scattered.
