I am an award winning filmmaker living in Rotterdam. My graduation film, Skin feels, is a diptych about what it means to me to see my parents' body age. The film has won 3 awards and has been screened at more than 25 international film festivals (IDFA, Encounters, Uppsala, NYC Indie FF, among others). The screenplay for my new short film Kopstoot has been selected for European Short Pitch by organization Nisi Masa. In collaboration with Volya Films and starring Nils Verkooijen and Felix Osinga, we will be shooting the film in April 2016.
In addition to these projects, I work with full conviction as a filmmaker, cameraman and editor. I think it's fantastic to go out with a camera and shoot high-quality films. I always want to get the most out of myself and am a perfectionist when I have a camera in my hand. Since 2012 I have been working as a freelance director, cameraman and editor for various clients such as Company webcast, Theater de Krakeling, Edhv, Touch Media, Stichting Freehouse and VideoWerkt. In 2014 I directed five 15 minute documentaries in Nanjing, China. I am also a programmer for the documentary section of the New York City Independent Film Festival.
