In commercial work I make the most of my strong empathy by living in the vision of the client and the audience. I look for new ways to make the most of the communication of the end result.

In my autonomous work I like to observe people from all walks of life. In the subjects I use I look for contradiction. The end result does not necessarily work towards one truth. I mainly want the viewer to think about what they see and feel.

In 2011 I graduated from the full-time VAV: Audio Visual course. I completed my studies by showing my two graduation films at the Dutch Film Festival.
I then interned for six months as a video editor at Roorda Advertising Agency. Here I gained experience in purposefully editing videos for presentations to clients, including: Unicef, Achmea, Jupiler, Halfords, Bakker Bart. Editing a case film of the Friesland bank campaign.

I am currently working on a documentary in which home care workers (domestic help) show their work and what this work means to many in these times of aging. The work is simple, but there is much more to it than just keeping houses clean.

The two Heroes/Anti-Heroes films '14-11-1911' and 'Ashworth' were the most important works for me during my studies to really realize what filmmaking from idea, to aesthetics to execution and final work means. It gave me a lot of insight into concept development of autonomous art.
