'Art is a fallow landscape in which a person can live.'
Johan Vanderpol (26-11-1978) is an actor with a preference for sharp, sober and poetic work. After apparently random detours, between 2004 and 2009 he followed the acting course at the Hogeschool Voor De Kunsten in Utrecht and has since consciously sought connections in his work with other disciplines such as (modern) dance, visual arts and literature. He attended masterclasses with Gijs Scholten van Aschat and Bert Luppes, played in performances by Marcus Azzini, Johan Doesburg and Helmert Woudenberg, among others, worked for both television and film and also presented his own performances at various festivals in the Netherlands and abroad. .
At home he paints or works on his poetry in silence.
