Fernando Halman

keywords: i am a presenter at funx radio and i am de stem van zapp

He combines his love for music and talking five days a week as a DJ on the morning show Start on radio station FunX. As a voice-over for Zapp, he tells children throughout the Netherlands which programs they are going to watch. He effortlessly whips up the audience of an event and he also does not turn his hand around for interviews with major international stars. With his voice as an instrument, Fernando Halman (Amsterdam, 1981) has been proving for years that he is at home in all markets. When he did not go to law school after high school, but opted for a career in the music and entertainment world, his Aruban mother was not thrilled. Yet she was the one who ultimately encouraged him to go in that direction. Fernando Halman is now a well-known name, or rather a well-known voice in the Netherlands.
Radio
With his participation in the BNN DJ competition Hey DJ, Fernando took his first steps in the radio world. He made the move to funX for young people in 2004. Since 2009 he has presented the morning show Start at the most listened-to station for young people in the Randstad conurbation. Here the DJ receives interesting guests every morning. Fernando is not afraid to ask questions and therefore gets the most extraordinary things done: Caro Emerald, Xander de Buisonjé and Anna Drijver chopping in the FunX studio, Antonie Kamerling who talks candidly about his depression and loneliness and Charly Luske who admits once a police car scratched. Fernando also helps listeners start each workday with new music before it is officially released and he reviews the latest news about games, fashion, films and sports.

Voice over
Full of enthusiasm, Fernando uses his voice to tell children what they are going to see at Zapp, the children's block of the NPO. Since 2009 he is the permanent voice-over of programs such as SpangaS, the Jeugdjournaal and Het Klokhuis. In addition, Fernando is also a voice actor. In 2012, he took on the role of Murray the Mummy in the animated film Hotel Transylvania. This year he can not only be heard in the animated series Max Steel as Jefferson Smith, but also as Smulsmurf in the animated film The Smurfs 2.

Host
Fernando can whip up large crowds like no other. He effortlessly warmed up the audience during events such as Noorderslag, Zomercarnaval and Parkpop. He can also be seen regularly as a host, discussion leader or interviewer at informative meetings.

Image
From 2007 to 2010, Fernando appeared on television every week. He was the music expert of the music and lifestyle program URBNN for three seasons and introduced viewers of RTL5 to the latest films and DVDs in Take 5. He also interviewed international stars such as 50 Cent, Gloria Estefan and Jamie Foxx. In 2012, Fernando also made secondary school students enthusiastic about the Buma Music Academy, for which he not only explained the project in a promotional film, but also discussed the teaching package.

Music productions
Fernando's passion for music is not only expressed through his radio show, but also by making music himself. Among other things, he produces radio jingles for his morning show Start, invented the music that presenter Ajouad El Miloudi rapped over in the children's program Basta and made the song Dit Is Voor M'n Boiz on the Partysquad album De bazen van de club.
