Jeroen Giessenburg
keywords:actor, training actor
Jeroen Giessenburg (1988) is a Dutch actor with a curious mindset. He can be seen in Prison Escape as Ferdinand Maas, in season 4 of the British police series 'Van der Valk' and in commercials.
Since graduating from Willem De Kooning Akademie (Art Academy) in 2014, he has been living and moving around the Randstad. As a creative entrepreneur, he finds happiness in the verb acting. He is flexible, socially skilled, highly employable and incredibly easy to reach.
+-6 years he works as a training actor at the Police. Think of playing in simulations, lessons and testing for all Police training courses in the Netherlands. His strength lies in physical play and verbal resistance in the form of non-cooperative suspects. This way one can practice procedures well in convincing scenarios. Where mental strength and resilience are central. Jeroen likes to move in the educational world (training courses/schools) and in the entertainment world (streaming/tv/theater).
Jeroen is often cast as the big bad man because of his physique and background and he is perfectly fine with that. He has a creative and entrepreneurial background and once started playing rugby at the art academy where he studied graphic design. That's how the ball literally started rolling and he found physical work outdoors and not working behind a desk increasingly important. Acting has a lot in common with designing. After all, it is the embodiment and visualization of other people's text, wishes and arts.
When he is not on stage or 'in the crumpled' he is mainly active with his dog Ole. They like to be in nature or on a bench in the middle of the city to declare the world crazy.
