Jeroen Giessenburg (born 1988) is a Dutch actor with a curious, do-it mindset. He can be seen in Prison Escape as Ferdinand Maas, in season 4 of the British police series Van der Valk.
Since graduating from the Willem De Kooning Academy in 2014, he's been active in the Randstad. As a creative, he finds happiness in acting. Jeroen enjoys working in education and the world of entertainment, such as theater, film, or series for streaming and TV.
He has been working as a training actor with the Dutch Police for about six years. This includes role-playing scenarios in the form of simulations, lessons, and assessments for all training programs in the Netherlands. In short: playing the jerk, the terrorist, the busybody, or the annoying journalist. He enjoys running, fighting, shooting, fleeing, and swearing. His strength lies in physical play combined with verbal stimulation, playing the role of an uncooperative suspect. Whether they are already available or still in training, Jeroen believes it's important that qualified police officers connect with themselves in a safe environment. In this way, he enjoys contributing to a safer Netherlands through play.
Jeroen is often cast as the big bad guy because of his physique and background, and he's perfectly happy with that. He has a creative and entrepreneurial background, and "the balloon" started rolling thanks to the winning combination of playing rugby for several years and studying graphic design at art school. Acting has a lot in common with playing rugby (you've already won in your head) and with design (visualizing ideas).
